Introducing our new 2024 product …. Wheatgrass! We have decided to add wheatgrass as an option for our customers due to demand and because we believe it will help our customers to further achieve optimal health and wellness. There must be a reason for it. It’s a superfood, just like the microgreens we grow but wheatgrass is in its very own lane. Wheatgrass will give you an energy boost and will improve your overall health.
We have chosen to use only the best USDA Certified Organic non-GMO wheatgrass seed called, “Hard Red Winter”. Folks this wheatgrass that we grow in soil has an earthy and sweet flavor.
Be sure to pull out your juicer and run, not walk, to buy one (see below for what juicer to buy) so that you can start juicing your own wheatgrass at home.

Here Are Some Evidence-Based Health Benefits of Drinking Wheatgrass:
✅ High in Nutrients and Antioxidants such as vitamins, A, C, E, glutathione, calcium, iron, and magnesium.
✅ 17 Amino Acids: Of the 17 amino acids, 8 are considered essential, which means your body can’t produce them and the only way you can obtain them is from food sources.
✅ Antioxidants: Antioxidants such as vitamins C, E, and glutathione, are special compounds that help to fight free radicals preventing cell damage and reducing oxidative stress. Therefore, some studies have found that antioxidants may help in protecting you from diseases such as cancer, arthritis, heart disease, and neurodegenerative diseases.
✅ May Reduce Cholesterol.
✅ May Aid in Blood Sugar Regulation.
✅ Could Help Kill Cancer Cells Due to the High Antioxidant Content.
✅ May Alleviate Inflammation.
✅ Chlorophyll: Wheatgrass contains chlorophyll, which is a green pigment that has many health benefits such as it being a powerful anti-inflammatory and contains thylakoids.
✅ Thylakoids: Are these tiny compartments found in plants that have chlorophyll which absorb sunlight for photosynthesis.
✅ May Help Promote Weight Loss Due to Wheatgrass Having Thylakoids. Although there is no evidence that wheatgrass itself increases weight loss however, some studies have found that supplementing with thylakoids could enhance satiety and therefore, increase weight loss. Three things to keep in mind. 1) In the studies, high concentrations of thylakoids were used and are much greater than those found in wheatgrass. 2)Thylakoids can also be found in other food sources such as green vegetables and leafy greens such as lettuce, kale, and spinach. 3)There is no research on the effects of wheatgrass on weight loss specifically and therefore, more studies on weight loss are needed.
Here Are Some Precautions and Side Effects:
✅ Celiac Disease or Sensitivity to Gluten: For anyone with these health issues, wheatgrass is “generally” considered safe because the grass itself does not contain gluten. It is the seed of the wheat kernel that contains gluten and is typically removed due to its harvesting methods which means it’s harvested before the gluten-containing wheat seed sprouts. Still we recommend being cautious if you have these health issues.
✅ Wheat: If you are allergic to wheat, do not consume wheatgrass.
✅ Side Effects: Headaches, Nausea, Diarrhea, Constipation, Upset Stomach, or Fever. Some folks report these symptoms after consuming wheatgrass and if this happens, either stop consuming it completely, or decrease your intake and introduce it to your body slowly.
✅ Drink an 8 oz. glass of water after consuming wheatgrass to help reduce side effects.
✅ Prone to Mold: If you attempt to grow it at home just know it is susceptible to mold. If it shows signs of spoilage or has a gross bitter taste just throw it away. You don't have to worry about that when you buy from our indoor farm because we grow in a temperature and humidity controlled environment.
Here Is the Amount Most Folks Drink Daily:
✅ Daily Liquid Dose is 2fl oz Total. So, 1fl oz in the morning on an empty stomach and 1fl oz in the early afternoon or early evening on an empty stomach. This is equivalent to 2 shots.
✅ Some experienced folks drink up to 4fl oz shots daily. So, 2fl oz in the morning on an empty stomach and 2fl oz in the early afternoon or early evening on an empty stomach. This is equivalent to 4 shots.
✅ Powdered Doses are between 3-5 grams, which is about 1 teaspoon.
✅ Consume immediately after being mixed/juiced to get the maximum amount of health benefits.
✅If possible, only juice as much as you are going to consume immediately.
Storing Wheatgrass:
✅ Cut wheatgrass can be stored between 7-9 days in the refrigerator the same way we store our vegetables in an airtight sealed container, plastic bags, glass, etc.
✅If you are cutting the wheatgrass from a live tray, it is recommended to keep it in your refrigerator and harvest only what you are going to consume immediately.
✅ Freshly made wheatgrass juice is the best way to consume it. It should be consumed within 3 days and stored in the refrigerator, but it will generally lose its nutritional value quickly after juicing.
✅ Some folks like to flash freeze their freshly juiced wheatgrass or place the juice in ice cube trays. Some, but not all of its health benefits have been known to be good up to 2 years using this method. Again, freshly juiced wheatgrass is the best way to go to receive its maximum nutritional benefits and any other way (frozen or powdered form), it will loose it nutritional benefits.
✅If using frozen wheatgrass juice, don’t take it out the night before to thaw, instead either place it in a glass and let it thaw on its own and consume it immediately or run it over warm water to help it dethaw quickly and consume it immediately.
Wheatgrass Flavor:
✅Wheatgrass is an acquired taste due to it's pungent grassy flavor.
✅Our Wheatgrass has an earthy and sweet flavor.
✅When drinking a wheatgrass shot, some folks like to add a touch of lemon to it to counteract it's flavor.
✅To make it more palatable, some folks like to mix it into another juice or mix it into your morning smoothie.
Recommended Wheatgrass Juicer: Please note we do not receive any commission for the sale of the wheatgrass juicers.
✅Wheatgrass is a very fibrous produce so your typical juicer used for fruits or vegetables won't work. Instead, you will need a juicer either made specifically for wheatgrass and/or buy one that is a MASTICATING juicer that separates the juice from the pulp so there is no need to strain the juice afterwards.
✅Don't worry, you do not need a commercial juicer to reap the benefits.
✅There are 2 types of wheatgrass juicers, a manual or electric.
✅The manual hand crank wheatgrass juicer produces no heat which is great because this provides you with optimum benefits without depleting the nutrients. This is easy to use but you can only juice wheatgrass and nothing else. Here is one example you can buy: https://amzn.to/3za8g8T
✅The electric juicer is more versatile because you can use it not only for wheatgrass but also for fruits, vegetables, leafy greens and soft fruits. As a cold pressed juicer, they do produce some heat but they operate at a low speed so, very little heat is produced. Here are two examples you can buy: https://amzn.to/3N5mBaF or https://amzn.to/3wY8MUI
